Hi there.

I’m Mia. I’m an instructional designer based in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. I’m a natural Learner (top CliftonStrength) and I have a passion for creating approachable and engaging learning experiences that are based in empathy and putting the user first. I’ve been working on distributed teams (remotely) since 2015, and my work reflects the wonderful ability to collaborate and learn in a virtual environment. I have specialized knowledge in designing e-learning, multimedia training, and blended learning programs with a variety of tools and software. I simply love learning new tools and finding the right work flow for the job.

While I currently work in L&D and Customer Success teams in the Fintech industry, I also have a passion for learning and incorporating UX and design thinking principles into my projects. I’m particularly proud of the work I’ve produced in my long-time passion project: I’m a fully self-taught sewist and pdf sewing pattern designer. My experience building a brand and developing a product from design to launch with all the accompanying educational content for home sewists has given me the confidence to do/make anything that I dream up.

When I’m not working on projects, I’m biking, making travel plans (Arranger is another top CliftonStrength), taking fitness classes, or getting outside for a walk or hike.
